The pasta and sides are portioned perfectly and there is a very wide variety of beverages, including wines. Grab some sandwiches and a bottle of wine and head to the beach! “ Great sandwiches for a great price! We went here about an hour before closing, and it wasn't crowded at all, despite being on a main road in downtown Santa Cruz (street or garage parking is the way to go). We got our sandwiches to go and ate at the beach. The chicken pesto was absolutely delicious and nice and warm even after the drive down to the beach. The service was super friendly and quick. There is a host of picnic products from cookies to jams to crackers to beverages also available for purchase. I would definitely come back to Zoccoli's to try a cold sandwich or even one of their a la carte items! ”

“ Yum, yum, yum! We love a good Italian shop, and this one was a gem. The muffuletta was the perfect size to split, packed with flavor. Plenty of tasty treats around the shop to explore. Loved the charming atmosphere, and the staff was friendly. A great find! ”

“ Metered Street parking available in front as well as the rear entrance. It's a 2 step process to order and then to pay. Both lines moved quickly and before you know it your food is ready. I typical get a sandwich but wanted to be different this time and got the a la carte ravioli. I'd def order again and want to try the other pasta dishes. ”

“ They seem to strive for a New York City Delicatessen, which are big shoes to fill. The store gives you a classic deli experience where you have to pull the number to be served. Inside you'll see a large option of wines, deli sides, and drinks. The operation is ran well and organized. The sandwiches were good, but I would like to see less fluff and more chew for the bread and a slightly more generous stuffing of the insides to improve the bread to meat ratio. Great place to visit. I highly recommend the eggplant parm, deviled eggs, and mac salad. ”

“ There's a variety of sandwich options from hot to cold. I've had a few of their sandwiches and theyre always a hit! This time I had the chicken pesto and it was flavored really well with good toppings. I do wish the chicken was cut up a bit more so it wouldn't all come out in one bite but it was tasty nonetheless. I appreciated all the other snacks and deli type of foods in the shop. They have really good sides and solid drink options ”

“ Super convenient spot to grab a sandwich for the beach! It gets relatively busy during peak hours so I always try to go right when they open to avoid the crowd. They are super efficient with their lines and have a great spread of sandwiches, pastas, salads and more! It's not really the place to sit down and have a meal, more of a grab and to-go type of deal. ”

They quickly and efficiently prepare and serve a good array of cold and hot sandwiches, soups, salads, pastas, and Grab-and-Go freshly prepared items. Take a number from the pull-tab dispenser to secure your ordering place in line. The overhead menu board can't be missed and is easy to read. After ordering, proceed to the payment register and remember to keep your number, as it will be called when your order is ready. Vegetarian friendly and vegan options are available. For enjoying your meal/snack on site, indoor seating is limited to three bistro tables. In addition, there are also seating options on the pedestrian friendly Pacific Avenue. In addition to made-to-order foods, Zoccoli's carrys a large selection of grocery items, as well as meats, cheeses, olives, and all the accouterments for special occasions or a fantastic charcuterie board. ”
